Free Teachers Professional Development Event
BazanED invites educators from New York and New Jersey to come, learn, interact and engage during this special Professional Development event hosted by Africa-America Institute, Fox Searchlight Pictures and BazanED. This invitation is exclusively for High School educators and admits one.
New Jersey Educators
For ALL New Jersey Educators in attendance please note that – registration and participation in this program will result in three (3) professional development hours provided through our educational partner, the New Jersey Amistad Commission, New Jersey Department of Education. This program fulfills their educational mandate to expand the knowledge base of African Diasporan history in the classroom. A PDF certificate will be provided.
New York Educators
For New York Educators in attendance, a PDF certificate of participation will be provided for submission of professional development hours consideration.
This offer is for High School educators. Space is limited, and on a first come, first served basis. All RSVPs ADMIT ONE. You must RSVP to gain entry. No walk-ups will be admitted.
